Well, it has been just over two weeks since I returned from Southwell and decided to give the Delay Don't Deny regimen a go.
As I reported at the beginning, it is a process of fasting for 19 hours every day and eating within a 5-hour window. Sounds horrendous doesn't it and I would have to have agreed with you during the first couple of days. Now 14 days out I am able to quite easily manage to fast all day with only unsweetened and milkless drinks hot and cold. However, by the time my window for eating is nearly open I am more than ready to eat.
As the days went on I also noticed that I could have one main meal a dessert and a snack and feel very full.
The beauty of the programme is such that you can eat anything within your 5-hour window even the odd glass of alcohol. So, has all this fasting made a difference? I can report that at my daily weigh-in this morning I was 13st 7 1/2 lbs which is a total loss of 11 1/2 lbs. I am super happy about that as I am now seeing clothes that were very snug (I mean Michelin man snug) are now fitting me much better. Upwards and onwards.
This morning I tried my wedding outfit on for Sophie's wedding. The wedding was supposed to be in June 2020 but hey ho, well over lockdown I have defo piled on the wool and the outfit wouldn't even go over my head. This morning it went on without much effort and would be perfect with a least another 6lbs off.
The elderly neighbour I helped yesterday rocked up at my door this morning with a bottle of Blossom Hill pink wine. I have to say my little wine chiller is getting full now so I need some guests to help me empty it a bit haha.
Right, time to break into action, I am just about to have a cup of berry green tea then I am going to make a batch of cheese and onion scones and put a sweet and sour chicken dish in the slow cooker ahead of this evenings entertaining.
So it is now 10.45 pm and my auntie Alice, mum and Sue have just left. I won a game of cards and Sue won 2 games. I will do a quick tidy then it is off to bed.
