Today has been another one watching tradespeople working. They don't seem to mind me standing and talking to them. The alternative was to go and sort out the 3 remaining boxes which are in my bedroom, so no competition haha. It is fascinating watching the LVT fitters plying their craft.
As you can see from the pictures, the LVT is individual tiles that are precision laid. It has taken the fitter all day to plan and layout just the border. He said that it was very intricate because there were lots of doors and ins and outs around the new kitchen cabinets. Once the border is complete the herringbone design which will be in the middle will go down very quickly. That part of the fitting won't be today however, I am hopeful that it will be tomorrow. But even just with the borders, it looks beautiful, so I can only imagine what the finished job will look like. This is what the herringbone design will look like.
This afternoon we have had thunder and lightning and torrential rain. It was a good job that my builder came round this morning and affected a repair to a crack that he had found in the lead flashing on the flat roof of the bay window. Now, this rain will be a good test of the patch. So far the patch is holding.
This morning I had a visit to my dentist, my new teeth were ready. I have to say the idea is sound but the process of having such foreign bodies in your mouth and trying to eat and talk with them in is another matter. I will continue to practice but I feel a phone call coming on haha.
