Defo feeling out of shape today. Having gotten dressed this morning I thought I looked okay for a Wednesday of staying at home from the front that is. But turn to the size and I am most definitely not in good shape and potato is probably closer to the way I look haha. As I said last night straight after Christmas I'll be on it.
Well, today was shaping up to be very run of the mill. School run at either end of the day, quadruple children to sit on again and the mother unit to see
When I returned from the school run this morning I sat down and hand-painted some bespoke wooden tree baubles as gifts for Lees brother and his partner. It is a little something but I guess it is the thought that counts.
Then mid-morning I had a visit from my cousin's daughter. If you remember the mother unit and I attended her wedding at the beginning of September. She came to give me some crafting materials which she had been using for her invitations and table favours. It was nice to actually catch up with her and ask her how married life was treating her. She was blown away by the Christmas decor of The Jungalow. She stayed for about half an hour before heading out to have her toenails painted haha.
Later I got a phone call from my son to say that Robyn had had an accident at school and had clashed heads with another child. She had been sent home and had an impressive egg-shaped bump on her forehead. She is okay but miffed that she had to miss her Christmas party.
After the school run tonight, I decided that I would take Harry and Leighton to McDonald's. It is ages since we have been. Needless to say, the boys were super excited. Over the pandemic, I have been using the drive-thru but tonight we went inside again perhaps for the first time since the pandemic started.
A quick note on the mother units health. She is marginally better today and a lot less confused. Her doctor told her to keep on with the antibiotics but also prescribed her a weeks course of steroids which equates to 6 a day which she has to take all at once first thing in the morning. which takes her morning tally of tablets to 20 haha.
