Long handle hoe to the rescue

A couple of seasons ago I purchased this quirky greenhouse.

Whilst I grew tomatoes and cucumbers in it the first season, last season, it was just a storage place for empty plant pots.

With new plans afoot for the garden, I decided that I would part with it. It has been on sale for a good few weeks and I was beginning to think I would not be able to sell it.

Then low and behold this afternoon I sold it. However, it is okay for it to be sold but then there was the task of taking it to bits after cleaning it up a bit and fitting it back into its carrying case.

After 45 minutes of pushing, pulling, folding, hosing etc the hexagonal pyramid-shaped greenhouse is all packed away ready for pick up.

Now when I moved the greenhouse there was a considerable hump underneath, leaves twigs etc obviously a nest of some sort. Well, I wasn't going to get any were near it in case it was still occupied, so a trip to the garage and a long-handled hoe soon made short work of the nest which had no occupants thank goodness. I have just been talking to Sarah and I was telling her about the nest under the greenhouse. She said it could possibly be a hedgehog's nest. Well to be honest I had not given that possibility a thought. Then I remembered that I told you about Toby my neighbour feeding a hedgehog in yesterday's blog. So I have been out in the garden again constructing a hedgehog house with the leaves and twigs I had scraped off the original nest and an old black bucket just in case it is the little hogs home I have destroyed.

This morning I attended the breast screening unit at the hospital. I have to say I have had numerous scans on my boobs over the years but the uncomfortable few seconds when you are squashed into the machine does not get any easier haha.

After being tortured at the hospital I travelled into town to have my nails sorted again. They had grown massively and needed lots taken off the length. So I went for fluorescent pink and black polka dots on the ring fingers haha.

I have to say that photograph shows how dry my hands have become, a quick slathering of hand cream will sort that out.
