Oh, my days not a truer word was spoken Sean, haha. Last night it was horrendous, so close and humid, I went without night clothes haha and quilt and just had a thin sheet and I still tossed and turned.
So when the alarm went off this morning at 7.15 I felt as if I had been cheated out of a good night's sleep.
Of course, it wasn't only the heat that was causing me heartache last night but the plight of my youngest grandson Leighton.
I mentioned in the blog yesterday that he was poorly with sickness and diarrhoea. Well as the day progressed into the evening and then into the night he was still throwing up, around 9.30 I suggested a call to 111 to Sarah. They told her that she must take him to the hospital immediately. So they spent time in A&E and eventually they told Sarah that he had gastroenteritis and that they would probably admit him because of dehydration. He had to have a wee for them to test for it but in the end, they sent them home at 3 o'clock this morning with anti-sickness drugs to allow him to keep fluids down and flush out the bugs. Needless to say, I was in contact with Sarah until about 2.30 this morning so that coupled with the heat made for a very restless night. Today however he is much better and I will have the pleasure of his company tomorrow as his daddy is away.
To give Sarah a little lie in this morning I went down and picked Harry up for school.
After the school run, Scott arrived to continue on with the garage stripping. By lunchtime, the cladding was stripped away and I could get the full effect of the space. Scott spent the afternoon strengthening and shoring up the frame to make it stable. Now I only have to get rid of the huge pile of rubbish then I can move forward. But I have a man with a van who is going to come and take it all away.
So folks this is the last time I am going to bore you with the reno until the space is complete and I can unveil it to you and take bookings for drinks parties and soirees haha.
