Laceleaf Hearts - gorgeous

Look at this gorgeous Laceleaf ( proper name Anthurium)

Rita brought it for me on Saturday, I just love its glossy red hearts, which I thought was very appropriate - thank you, Rita.

I have begun to receive many cards and condolences over the past few days which is wonderful to know that the mother unit was indeed a well-loved lady.

Many of the people in the Grove have also taken the time to come down to talk to me or push cards through the door. It makes me feel part of a community that is looking out for me which is great.

Today has been a day of mother unit admin, phoning doctors, hospitals, pharmacies etc but this afternoon was perhaps one of the most important immediate tasks I had to undertake.

At 3.30 the undertaker came for a 2-hour long chat and form-filling session.

Lots of things were discussed including the proposed date and time of the funeral, of course at this moment in time I can't divulge that information as I would have to kill each and every one of you and I value your friendship more haha, it all depends on whether the hospital gets their fingers out in time and realise the death certificate, but I am hopeful and will begin my pestering for said form first thing in the morning haha.

Last weekend I reported on the rather smokey BBQ and told you of the steps I was intending to take to rectify it going forward.

To that end, I ordered a single-bin storage unit which came today. However, when I opened the package up this is what I saw. I immediately bowed to a high authority on this sort of thing and asked for Ben's help, he will come around tomorrow after the school run to construct it for me - Thank you, Ben.

The wind here today has been horrendous, at one point this morning it blow one of my newly installed framed mirrors off the fence and smashed the mirrored glass. I decided that I would go out and remove the other three small mirrors so as not to have the same thing happen to them.

I am now on the countdown for my sister Sues return from Thailand when she will be able to take over some of the burdens of sorting out mams final hurrah with me.
