This is what my reaction was this morning when I realised the implications of dropping my phone down the loo yesterday.
I have had said phone languishing in a bag full of rice since the incident, but have to report that it is still kaput.
So this morning Ben and I spent about 1 1/2 hours chatting and looking at replacements.
So by 11 o'clock, I had bought and new phone which will arrive by tomorrow. Unfortunately, because my previous phone was still under contract so I had to pay Sky Mobile off first. Kerching £199 right there. Then the new phone cost me more each month - Kerching Sky mobile got me again. Then a new case and screen cover - Amazon this time - Kerching £10 so all in all an expensive morning.
It was only after I had sorted it all out that I realised how important the phone is in our lives. It holds all our photos - now probably lost. It is the keeper of my and mum's mobile banking app, It has all my contacts. It also has countless apps which I use regularly. So changing over to the new phone is going to be a right pain. Ben has kindly offered to come over tomorrow to help.
So this afternoon my nice gardener came and cut the lawns and planted two hydrangea shrubs which I had bought, a white one and a deep pink one. I also noticed today when I was out in the garden that my tri-coloured wisteria for the first time is covered in flower buds so I am super excited to see what blossoms, I have no idea where the flower colours will fall. I am hoping that the pink, white and purple flowers will be spread across the shrub so that it will look stunning.
