OMG!!!!! it is not often that I make a boo-boo with the blog, I think I have only done it once before, but today is the second time. I had finished writing and adding pictures when I had a thought that I needed to look at a previous blog to see if I was going to repeat myself. So I pressed back before saving so I lost the whole thing. So this version is the second time of writing it today arrgghhhh!!!!
This afternoon I had a visit from one of my neighbours, she came to tell me that she had ordered 36 Taylors pies and paid for them for the Jubilee Street Party. I asked her why she had ordered so early she told me that they are only taking orders at the moment and there will not be pies available for street parties nearer the time, so if you are celebrating and want pies get them ordered. Speaking of the Jubliee I was in Home Bargains this morning and they had a display of plates, cups, serviettes etc with Union Jacks on so I purchased a selection for Sarah who is having a jubilee BBQ on the Friday of jubilee weekend and any left overs can go to our street party on the Sunday. The shop assistant told me that she couldn't put them out quick enough as they were flying off the shelves. She also said that their warehouse was empty of stock, so if you are celebrating, and see these items on sale don't put it off thinking you have plenty of time to buy them so you won't be disappointed.
I reordered a bigger chair for my bedroom 2 days ago and blow me if it didn't turn up this afternoon. I knew straight away from the size of the box that it was going to be a chair and not a stool haha. It required a little assembly (nothing too taxing, I just had to screw on the legs haha) and hey presto my bedroom decor is finished.
A couple of days ago mum shut her leg in the car door and badly ripped the skin on her shin. I have been dressing it for the last couple of days. This morning as I was redressing it again it started to bleed again. Mum wanted to leave the special plaster off to let the air get to it, in the this is what we always did when we were young but I vetoed that suggestion because clearly the flap of skin had not knitted closed yet and it would be impossible to keep it clean and infection-free. I know for a fact that it will be a challenge to get her to keep it covered for a few more days.
