Had a productive morning really. After the school run Rosemary and I got down and dirty with my daily workout regime.
Actually, I added 3 x 10 reps of The Plank to the workout, in an effort to persuade my tummy to go flat quicker as I am running out of time to be in some sort of shape before the Mother unit's 90th, preferably not Mr Blobby shaped haha. I don't think for one minute The Plank was a thing when Rosemary Connelly recorded this DVD back in the '90s.
After that, I returned to the craft room and re-coated the Christmas wooden baubles I have been painting and then packed away the first 12 Nutcrackers. The other day I took delivery of a further 12 Nutcrackers which I will begin to decorate soon.
Now for a very very sad tale. I have the most beautiful Jade Plant and last summer I placed it in my conservatory which seemed to suit it really well. Being succulent it really doesn't like to be watered often. Did I overwater it no not at all but it went from a lush dark green colour to a lime green colour. On consulting the interweb I was told that it was happily stressed haha. I was also told to take it out of the conservatory. For the last year, it has lived in my dining room and was starting to recover. However, around Christmas time it started to droop. At the same time, I was inundated with small flies. The parent plant then started to die, as it was one of my favourite plants I have been doing some surfing to try and find out how I can save the said plant. This morning I watched several YouTube sessions on just that subject. So I have taken the plant and given it a radical makeover. I have gained 6 cuttings and a load of leaves which | will propagate. On closer inspection, the miniature flies were coming from the soil so that didn't help either.
The parent plant and root ball are no more it has been put outside along with the fly-infested soil haha. Hopefully, by the summer the cuttings will have rooted and I will have my beloved Jade plant back.
