It has been a busy day with lots of progress on Jungalow's new kitchen. Work has now moved on to the old kitchen which is being repaired ahead of moving the craft room into the space.
At 10.30 this morning I had a meeting with the Vice Principal of Polam Hall School as my role of Academy councillor in charge of Safeguarding. We were writing the annual report together. As you might imagine there was a lot of changes with Covid and things like that, but we made good progress and I was back home by 12.30.
However, when I got in the builder was looking very sheepish and the joiner was nowhere to be found. So what cat-arsed-trophy had gone on whilst I was being academic you may ask.
Well, the builder had to go out to get some fittings and the joiner (he of the builders bum) decided to plough on with plying the floor. So what did he do wrong? Well instead of waiting for help he opened the dishwasher door and pulled to get the ply underneath. The upshot was that the door came off in his hands. apparently, the builder had a devils own job to refit it before I got back. I have to say it is okay no lasting damage.
So today the builder completed more of the kitchen including installing my new radiator.
This progress allowed mum and me to have the first cooked meal in the new space.
