Well, here we are at the end of yet another week. We are hurtling towards April already unbelievable.
Well, this is how I started my Friday, happy the sun was up yet again and that my grandsons were in a happy mood when they arrived. However, I still had the trial by shopping to go through with the mother unit haha.
I have to say after our shopping spree this morning mum was looking shattered and I could see she was in a bit of pain. I decided to put my head in the lion's mouth so to speak and chanced a rather radical suggestion.
I asked her if she thought it was time to give up food shopping as it was taking its toll. If you can imagine an incendiary bomb going off you would be somewhere near what her reaction was. She accused me of not wanting to take her shopping and that I wanted to make her stay at home in the house all on her own seeing no one. Talk about an overreaction. I get it that she likes to get out but I seriously don't know how much longer she can physically do it. I then suggested that we buy her one of these small fold-away scooters which could go in the back of the car, to which she answered I can't see to drive those. Having informed her that she would be fine and not actually driving on the roads I left it for her to mull over.
Whilst we were out mum bought some artificial leaves to add a bit of privacy to her side gates. I regained the millions of brownie points I had lost whilst shopping by fitting said screens haha.
I am babysitting yet again for Sarah tonight. They are going over to the Cricket Club to attend a Comedy Night.
So today has been one of many ups and downs
