HELLO, AGAIN MY LOVELIES.
This morning we had a final breakfast at our Hotel the Creta Princess in Crete before heading off to the airport to begin our journey home.
We have had a lovely two weeks and I now feel completely relaxed and raring to go.
Of course, the Cretan sun was baking 32 degrees + most days.
However one day it was hilarious as the temp was 30 degrees, the sun was shining and the rain was tanking down. Luckily the rain was only falling for 10 mins.
It's so strange how people are programmed to run for cover when it rains. That's exactly what people were doing around the pool. Sarah and I just lay on our sun beds (as we had swimsuits on anyway and the children were still in the pool whilst everyone else fussed around running for cover.
However not long after the rain started the lifeguards had to clear the pool as there was a strong possibility of thunder and lightning strikes.
So, over the next few days, I will share a few pictures from my holiday with you.
So here to start are a few shots of the actual hotel itself.
We were delayed an hour and a half at Chania airport this morning as the Greek military was practising landing and taking off with four fancy jet planes and then a further hour at Newcastle airport this afternoon because the conveyor belt broke down and they couldn't get our bags up to us, so it was getting on for 6.45 before I actually walked in the house.
As it was my turn to look after the mother unit, I detoured to the fish and chip shop and took the easy way out for our teas.
