Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night! a very apt quote from The Truman Show, of course, it all depends on when you read my blog which part of the quote you take up haha.
It occurred to me that your friends or relatives may like to read the blog. Feel free to share the link https://www.thejungalowconnection.co.uk/ as the way I see it the more readers the better. The blog is currently live but it would be nice to drive new people to it.
Now a shout out this morning to one of our lovely readers who had her second hip replacement last week. She is home and doing well, she has her lovely neighbour Val to care for her and I hope she will be much better soon. Keep going Liz and I will be round to see you as soon as Boris allows it.
Okay, she is back. This morning I reinstated Leslie Lansone to get me
a) in shape
b) riding my bright shiny new bicycle.
You may remember I have had one abortive test drive up and down the Grove a couple of weeks ago. I came to the conclusion that I need to make my new knee much more flexible before I can crank the peddles without discomfort. So off we went. I only managed 1 mile today but will build on that over this coming week.
Oh, my days how embarrassing. It was my turn to host Sunday lunch today and I was well on schedule for 1.00. As I sat reading some emails I heard voices outside coming up the path. When I opened the door it was my dinner guests. My sister apologised for being late, I looked at the clock and said you are one hour early, then realised that I had not altered the clock for British summertime. I apologised and made them a coffee whilst running around like a headless chicken cooking the veg, Yorkshire puddings setting the table etc. Usually on Sunday dinner is over by 2.30 but they have just left it is 4.00 o'clock, so my next job after clearing away the lunch things is to go around altering all the clocks.
