Never a truer word said. I felt very jaded yesterday and rather unwell as the day went on. But don't worry it was nothing sinister unless you count the alcohol demons who were still playing havoc with my body.
This morning I still am not functioning at full capacity and defo did a double-take in the mirror as I passed.
Seriously though as I don't really drink that much and could be definitely classed as an occasional binge drinker, maybe my body takes longer to get over it.
Well, the excesses of the weekend have cost me 3lbs in weight gain, which I am not happy about, but today I am back on the Delay Don't Deny wagon and to be honest I am finding it difficult to get back into my stride.
I introduced my sister Sue to the delights of the Company Shop this morning and we came away with a couple of bags full of goodies at very low prices. It is on the site of one of the Mini Asdas on Haughton Road.
Well, it is back to the same old routine today after the two week holiday Sue and I have had whilst the mother unit was in Essex with Auntie Alice. Twice a week and Sundays Sue and I take it in turns to provide mum with her evening meal. My days are Monday and Tuesday and Sue does Wednesday and Friday, then we play turns in cooking Sunday lunch. She goes to her sisters on Thursdays and George her 93-year-old boyfriend takes her out for a meal on Saturdays, so that's her week covered.
At the end of this week, I will be house-sitting for Sarah whilst she and Lee take the boys down to Legoland for a couple of days. Originally Sarah wanted me to have Dave the labrador stay over at my house but I told her no, as I value my Jungalow and at the moment Dave is so destructive. Besides as I pointed out they have three other pets which will need looking after also. Milly the cat, Roar the goldfish and Steve the hamster. So I might as well be down there as I would have to be visiting to feed them etc anyway. So they are going on Thursday night after work and returning on Saturday afternoon.
