Grandson battles

Not that it makes much difference to us retirees, haha, but I have felt strangely lost off this weekend possibly because I have been on babysitting duty since Friday.

Last night turned into a bit of a mare with Sarah's 2, they were sharing a king-sized bed which you would think would be ample size for an 8 and 10-year-old, but no not a bit of it.

They went to bed after our film night, Disneys Jungle Cruise and I settled them down and went back downstairs.

It wasn't long before Leighton was downstairs again complaining that Harry was humming and he couldn't get to sleep. So began a series of up and downstairs to defuse several fracases between them. The last time was when I heard the little one crying.

At this point, I had lost the plot and told Harry off and sent Leighton to sleep in my bed. So much later when they were all asleep I climbed into bed along with 5 assorted soft toys and a wriggly child. To say I am a little jaded today is an understatement.

My new TV and blue ray player were delivered by AO.com this morning and Ben will fit them for me tomorrow. He will also move the other TVs around the Jungalow until we get to the least useful one which will go to charity haha.

Sue and Jeff hosted lunch today which was lovely and when I returned home my neighbour from 5 doors up arrived with 4 trays of eggs from the small egg farm. And that my friends is the extent of my Sunday, so tonight I will be sitting relaxing and watching something meaningless on the TV, perhaps even having an early night.
