Well, on track for another non-descript Sunday. I have been with the mother unit to my sisters for our Sunday Lunch which was very nice indeed.
Now I am back at the Jungalow chilling. I am debating whether to venture into the garden to do a bit of weeding or if I should watch something on the TV. I have to say the TV option is winning at the moment haha.
My sister and her daughter took mum to Baydale Farm the other day, foraging for pumpkins. It is just a new enterprise for this year and by all accounts is going to be a yearly success story.
Normally the family, Bens, Sarahs and Leanne's go down to Spillman's Pumpkin Farm near Thirsk for their hand-picked Halloween supplies. But Leanne found this farm which is actually on Coniscliffe Road before the Broken Scar dam. It is not a very big operation at the moment but reports are that they had plenty of pumpkins of all sizes including Goosebump warty pumpkins. They have been open Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week and the same next week, but not through the week, and then they will be open for Halloween itself.
Mother enjoyed her hot chocolate haha. Today Sarah, Lee, Harry and Leighton have been taking part in a Dribblethon in aid of Harry's basketball team the Darlington Storms. He managed 72 laps of the sports hall, Lee completed 37 laps and Leighton contributed 5 laps so the Cockburn family contributed 114 laps to the 2000 total the club were aiming for, well done.
