Here is one super happy grandson. I told you yesterday that I was on nana duty all day but Dominic was off at a football tournament and presentation event.
He was not expecting to receive any prizes as he has only been with his new club for one season, and by the very nature of his playing position on the team, he plays half the time in goal and half as a midfield player, which meant that he wasn't scoring as many goals.
However, that didn't stop him from scoring more goals than anyone else over the season thus earning himself the golden boot trophy in his right hand and the other is a trophy for taking part. So I am very proud of this little man's achievements well done Dominic.
I watched the latest Downton Abbey film last night New Era and was very pleased with it. I had not watched any of the series and only watched the first film but this follow-up film is well worth a watch.
I am on catering duty today, so the Sunday lunch of roast chicken and 7 different vegs is well on its way. So all I need now is some guests then we can eat.
The mother unit finally has the information for her little break with George tomorrow so she will be setting off in the morning. I don't know if the itinerary will afford much chance of mum or gorge getting out and about as mum will not be able to take her wheelchair as a) it is very heavy and b) It is unlikely that George will be able to push it with the mother unit aboard.
Sadly I have decided to try and sell my beautiful Dutch Bicycle.
I bought it in 2020 during the lockdown with every intention to get fit whilst the roads were quiet.
I have ridden the bicycle 6 times up and down the grove since that time and I have to say it is a waste it being stuck in the garage with the chance of it getting damaged.
So yesterday I put it on the facebook marketplace sight and today a nice young lady came to view it, so I await her decision if she will buy it or not. My daughter was very annoyed with me as she cautioned against its purchase in the first place. But I had every intention of using it honestly haha.
Sarah and Lee have taken Harry and Leighton to the New Hippodrome Theatre this morning to see David Walliams's play Gangster Granny. They have seats which are 6 rows from the front so they should have a good view. As you can see they look super excited haha.
