Oh dear me, that was me this morning. I woke at 8.15 and was just congratulating myself for having had a bit of a lie-in when next I turned over and it was 10.30.
So where did those 2 hours go, who knows haha.
Then I had to perpetrate a small white lie when my sister Sue called so that it didn't look as though I was:-
A) not up and about
B) Actually still in bed.
She didn't guess pheww and we arranged to meet up at the mother units for a coffee to discuss mum's upcoming 90th birthday party. So 30 mins later I left the Jungalow and headed for mums. We had coffee and we went through the arrangements we had already made so that mum can celebrate her 90th birthday in style on the 4th March.
This afternoon I have been baking, the idea is to take a little home-baked produce to our weekly card games. So what did I make, well I made traditional cheese scones with a twist, as well as red Leicester cheese I also included some Brie. Hopefully, the Brie will have formed tasty pockets of flavour within the scone. Next, I made crystalised ginger scones topped up with some ground ginger, oh my, oh my, they taste amazing. So we will see what the others think tonight at our tea break in the middle of our card game.
I am still on the hunt for the smell in the Jungalow, yes I know you are sick of hearing about it as well, but you don't have to live here haha. The good news is it has been narrowed down to the dishwasher. So last night I put a heavy-duty dishwasher cleaner through on an empty cycle, if there was any gung in the pipes that would have cleared it away. But no, the smell was still there this morning. My only recourse now is to put up with the smell until Ben can come and drag the machine out of its hole to see if there are any leaks from the back. It has never really been the same since the ham-fisted joiner tried to move it by pulling on the door, he actually pulled the door off, so maybe he has damaged the seal I don't know. So as tedious as it is I will keep you up to speed with smelly gate haha.
