Well, I must be one of a very few people who haven't gotten all hot and bothered over the match tonight.
My kids and their kids were appalled that I wasn't even watching. So after considerable pressure, I put the game on for the last 10 mins. I have to say football is a bit boring, to be honest, I am a rugby follower and the lack of contact and all this passing and walking about doesn't appeal to me at all. So I made it to the end of the match and well done England if you get to the finals I may tune in to watch haha, but not promising.
Now back to something that has been worrying me over the last few days. The results are in and all my grandchildren and my Son-in-law have tested negative for Covid, so life can resume thank goodness. We have been advised to take lateral flows in three days just to make sure, but that is a formality. The boys will return to school on Monday, Sarah will return to work and I will pick up feeding duties of the mother unit and my Auntie Alice.
This morning Ben arrived to finish the installation of my lampost. Just as he arrived it started to rain so out came my big yellow and white striped umbrella to keep us dry. I took up my duties as official bits and bods holder and in no time at all the lamp was up, but I have had to wait until dusk to see if it actually works, which you can see it does from the last picture. The bulbs in the new lamp are dusk till dawn bulbs, which mean that they stay on all night, But not to worry they are energy efficient bulbs that cost next to nothing to run.
