Its been a very none descript day today.
Normal morning activities with the boys and then off to the Mother Units for our weekly shopping marathon.
I don't know if I have written about this already but one of the mini retail parks mother is partial to has suddenly imposed parking fines for overstaying your welcome.
As Fridays are always a marathon it may not surprise you that I have been clobbered twice on successive weeks for staying longer than 2 hours at this particular mini carpark. It always takes mum ages to go around the shops and with 9 to choose from on this particular mini retail park, I could easily spend many hours. Well on this particular day mum wanted to go in Poundland, The Charity Shop, The Card Factory, Aldi then wanted her dinner in Greggs. Up until a couple of weeks ago this was not an issue on this site, but new signage appeared which I gave a cursory viewing to but never clicked on the new time limit restrictions. So imagine my dismay when a parking fine for £100 dropped on my door mat, followed one week later by another £100 fine. Of course I appealed these charges but was told that the reasons I stated where not acceptable and that I should have kept an eye on the time. Needless to say we will not be returning to that particular mini retail park. But just to prove a point today's marathon was 4 hours long, had it been the other car park that would be another £100 fine winging its way to me.
I had a phone call this afternoon from Bristol Street Motors. The long list of things wrong with my new car when it was last in the garage turned up nothing. I was told however that if I could catch the car misbehaving and video it and send it in then they could do something about it haha. Only 2 days after that conversation the car did indeed misbehave. Luckily Sue was with me and she videoed me trying to sort it out. Upshot is that Nissan approved of the video and the car is booked in next week to have its £3,500 electronics system re-newed. Lets just hope that it solves the problem.
