I have had a kinda full-on day today and I for one am very tired my two grandchildren are tucked up in bed having exhausted themselves at the Fun Shack this afternoon.
We started our day with breakfast. Cereal for Robyn and toast and brioche for Dominic, after breakfast we headed for the craft room where we all had a go at cross-stitching. I have to say they got on pretty well. Dominic was attempting a butterfly and Robyn a heart. I was running interference between the two fixing any mistakes haha. Just look at the concentration on their faces.
Around midday, Sarah came with Harry and Leighton, so rounds of sandwiches were made and all were fed except me who had my 4th black unsweetened coffee of the day. After lunch, we headed out to Fun Shack in Stockton for the afternoon. Sarah and I sat and chatted whilst the children climbed, jumped and slid for one and half hours. During the time there the children had a go at a soft toy grab machine. Each winning a toy and a couple of spares. After Fun Shack it was a trip to Mcdonalds for emergency happy meals, to put them off until dinner time.
On the way home, we called into the cricket club for a sneaky shandy and a couple of cokes, before heading home to have some dinner and before we knew it it was time for bed. So here I am writing a late blog, kids spark out in bed and me not far behind.
