Had a fitful nights sleep last night. Had tremendous heartburn which I eased at about 4 o'clock this morning with a glass of milk. My thoughts on the subject of my heartburn are that I have been experiencing said episodes since I started taking the new diabetic drug Trulicity. Even though I take a drug to control acid build-up due to the amount of medication I take it doesn't seem to be working since I took the 2nd dose of Trulicity. Today I am feeling OFF, it is the only way I can explain it, nothing specific just off. I will be making notes of all of this to discuss with my diabetic nurse when she rings me next Friday. So today I am moving around very sluggishly and I am tempted to go back to bed haha. Anyway onwards and upwards.
I bought a new soup maker last week and I have been experimenting with different concoctions. Today I have used a ready to roast tray of Mediterranean vegetables from Aldi that you would normally roast. I have added a yellow pepper and a leek and am waiting for the machine to produce a nice smooth soup.
Okay it has been 22 minutes and the soup machine has chugged and whirred and the kitchen is now filled with a delicious smell on looking into the machine I can see a beautiful smooth orange soup. So I am going in to have a taste. Needs a little seasoning but tastes wonderful.
Around lunchtime the mother unit called me with an invite for a bacon sandwich lunch, it didn't take much persuasion before I was pulling on my uggs and walking out of the door. Spent a pleasant hour with mum now I am back at the Jungalow. Was thinking that I will probably do some crafting this afternoon, something non-taxing haha.
