What a belter of a hot day it has been, defo El Scorchio. I think the temp in the car this afternoon topped 30 degrees.
Well, this morning I had nothing planned and was thinking of starting the process of clearing out the garage and the side of the Jungalow. I have been putting it off all week but now I have a deadline as I have plucked up the courage to book a slot at the tip.
This of course will be another learning curve for me as Dave was always the one that did the tip run. And since moving into the jungalow when ever there has been things to take to the tip someone else has kindly done it for me. But come Monday morning at 10 o'clock that will be me, with my car loaded to the gunnels with assorted detritus from my garage.
This afternoon I was supposed to go to my mums with my sister to tidy up after my aunt's visit. Takedown the z bed move tables and chairs that sort of thing. Sue and I were going around 2 this afternoon. However, I got a better offer and rang Sue to rearrange. Sue, however, went around and did it on her own, this made me feel a bit guilty but thank you, Sue.
I got a phone call from my Auntie in Essex to say that her daughter had now come down with covid but she assured me that they were keeping away from them, lets hope that is true.
So what was my better offer, well it was a BBQ down at Sarah's. My intention was to go and only stay until early evening, but it is now 11.15 pm and I have just come back in haha.
Of course, I was the star guest today as I arrived bearing a gift of a large paddling pool for the children to play in. Dave the labrador had demolished the one they had so all was good. I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and evening and we sat out in the garden until I came home.
So tomorrow morning I will be up early and will defo have to start clearing out the garage. Of course, I only have until 1 o'clock then I am going to the Tawny Owl for Sunday Dinner with Sue and Jeff, but I can finish when I get back.
