Well, another beautiful sunny day today. Even if there was a bit of a breeze when in the sunshine it was quite hot.
This morning was the day that I was going to be giving Harry a timed, proper exam experience for his maths. I purchased some SAT's papers from Exam Ninja some weeks ago which included examples of actual papers.
These would give him the experience of handling the papers and seeing how they were set out ahead of his sats's at the beginning of May.
To say that he was less than enthusiastic about the whole affair would be an understatement haha. But I soldiered on and sat quietly at one end of my dining table reading my kindle with a timer ticking down the minutes. I can tell you if it was stressful for Harry it was excruciating for me haha. I had to ignore his questions and watch as he huffed and puffed and turned page after page without attempting to do any calculations. After 1 hour and 20 mins, I allowed him to go home. As you can imagine he hasn't performed particularly well but we have a couple of weeks left.
Around mid-morning, there was a knock on my door and one of the neighbours was calling to offer me a beautiful conservatory couch.
When they had gone I decided that I would give it a tryout. Well, 1 hour later I woke up feeling like an idiot. It was so comfortable and warm out of the wind that I had actually swanned off to sleep. Luckily the sun wasn't hot enough to have burned me haha.
Anyway, I am off to deliver the mother unit to her sisters and then onto Sarah's to talk to Harry ahead of having my Tea at Sarah's before I have to go and get mum to take her home at 9.45.
