Oh my days, look at this little beauty. I was out and about this morning returning bits and bobs and also on the look out for some planting options for the outside of the she shed.
When I was in B&M I was looking at the plants, I was after some lavender plants to put in my new planters. But I have to say that the plants on offer where shocking, they were dieing, all shrivelled up (which given the past few days is understandable) but they had not been looked after at all but they were still asking top dollar for them.
As I was on my way out they had just rolled out a new trolley full of these beautiful lacy cap hydrangeas.
At £12.50 each it didn't take me long to load two onto the check out conveyor haha. So, one for me and one for Sarah. She has a potted front garden, meaning her front garden is made up of grass and potted plants. It looks very nice indeed, so I thought I would text her and see if she wanted one for a splash of colour. Of course she did haha and who wouldn't they are so attractive.
Next I went to B&Q to look in their garden centre. I have to say the employees there certainly look after their plants and I was able to pick up French Lavender and a black grape vine.
So I bought the french lavender for the new planters and the black grape vine to climb up and over the rafters.
I am assured that they can withstand -15 degrees so I am hopeful that by next year I may have bunches of grapes dangling from the she shed rafters.
As you can see from this picture I still have a little painting to complete. I defo stalled to day and couldn't bring myself to climb the ladders to paint, but tomorrow is another day and I have nothing on the calendar, so the rafters will be painted.
