Don't you just love a list? The sense of achievement when you are able to cross things off said list is immense haha.
Last night Sarah invited me down to her house for my dinner. We had traditional mince and gravy with veg and Yorkshire puddings which were really nice. I had a couple of sneaky glasses of Budweiser as I wasn't driving. After dinner, Sarah and I got talking and I was telling her of my concerns at the daunting task ahead of me putting the Jungalow back together. She said that I didn't have to do it all at once and that I should focus on one box at a time she also suggested making lists not only for me but for the benefit of the builder lol.
Well, when I got home I started to make my lists. One for the old kitchen and one for the new kitchen. This is the new kitchen list but you can get my drift. It focused my thinking today I have to say and by 3.30 I was able to high light bullet point 3, 8, 10, 11, 12 and 18 which I am super pleased about. To be honest, the builder loved it and throughout the day he has been telling me what he had achieved and I have been high lighting the lists.
At the moment the children have just arrived in from school, it being Thursday it is McDonald's day, so I will be leaving Alan the Builder to plaster the old kitchen wall, whilst I take the boys for their teas. When I drop them off I will be taking the mother unit to her sisters. Apparently, she has been cooking because her sister is not very well. She was telling me earlier that she has made sweet and sour chicken, so that will be nice. I just hope my auntie will eat it as she is a very plain eater.
So just a few pictures today of progress. I have glossed all the skirting and architraves and window sill in the new kitchen and Alan has concentrated on the old kitchen today. He also moved the gas meter along which saved me a whopping £2000 as that is what the gas board wanted to charge me. Tomorrow the joiner will build a bespoke cupboard to hide it away.
