Don't you just love it when you pick something up that is destined for the tip and then renovate it and the person you got it from wants it back haha.
Well, that was me with these pair of lamps. They have been sitting on Sarah's balcony in the elements all of last year and she was taking them to the tip.
I had been looking at similar, to purchase for my new space and thought these would clean up perfectly.
So, Mr Amazon brought me a small tin of Hammerite paint this morning and I set to work.
You will agree when you look at the pictures below that they cleaned up well. I personally am thrilled with the makeover and can't wait to hang them up in the space when it is finished.
This morning Ben called to help to unpick the electrics in the garage ahead of Scott taking the sides and roof off tomorrow. Since he was the one that put them in in the first place it didn't take him long to sort it.
Sarah has had a very trying day today as Leighton started with sickness and diarrhoea at about 3 o'clock this morning. Poor little man has been sick on and off all day and is still going. Last week he was stung by a bee in my garden and the spot on his hand is still very red and swollen. Sarah asked the pharmacist and showed him a picture and he thought that it was all connected. I hope he will be okay soon, but of course, school rules are that you have to be clear of sickness or diarrhoea for 48 hours before returning to school, so that's him out of action until Thursday.
