Decorating Narnia

What can I say, but thank you to my faithful band of readers? Apparently yesterday the blog was AWOL again, it is a real mystery that I am investigating, but thank you to those who answered my test blog. If you are still burning to know if I got my lights on etc you can still access yesterdays blog through the blog link, because it is there.

Let me tell you it was amazing this morning to get out of bed and flick the switch for the lights to come on. It was like a light trail as I progressed throughout the Jungalow putting lights on as I went haha.

My builder will return this morning to finish a few little bits and put some new insulation in the loft under the eaves then I am good to go again, until the next time.

Now for something much nicer, I would like to give a big shout out to Karen who reads my blog in South Africa. Today is her birthday and she is going away with her family for the weekend to be pampered. Happy Birthday Karen have a great weekend.

When I was out in the garden this morning finally facing up to the damage that Storm Arwen had inflicted, I noticed a number of plants and bushes that perhaps shouldn't be alive and flowering at this time of the year.

I appreciate the extra prolonged bit of colour though.

This morning I finished the final bit of outside decorating of The Jungalow, my Narnia lamp.

I think it looks brilliant.

Funnily enough whilst I was decorating the lamp my elderly neighbour from across the road came over to compliment me on the decorations. She said that it gave her great pleasure when she looked out of her windows to see the Jungalow all lit up.

I thanked her and then suggested she share a coffee with me and I would show her the inside of Christmas Jungalow, she accepted and we had a great chat over a coffee.

As the mother unit is arriving back from Essex tomorrow I will have to go and get some supplies to put in her fridge. I normally would have had the weekly shop completed by now, but Alan the builder is still fannying around under the eaves haha. Hopefully, I will be able to go just after dinner.
