So the mother unit has been away since Monday and is at this very moment in time winging her way home, last communication she was passing Leeds.
To say she has thoroughly enjoyed herself would be a massive stretch of the truth. Sue and I have spoken to her over the week and what has come out loud and clear is that Cornwall is far too far away, (something Sue and I agree with) the food was not good, (but that doesn't say much as the mother's palette is very jaded and she tends to eat very plain and bland) the place they were staying was all hilly so she couldn't go far, getting on and off the coach was a trial. So, unfortunately, George will be in the bad books for not doing enough research on the venue and resort where they were staying haha.
This morning I was again shopping taking advantage of my solo shop I went to the Company Store for a mooch. I haven't been there since the beginning of the year and it was nice to see what was new.
Since clearing out the garage ready for the gazebo makeover, I have been selling bits and pieces on Facebook Market place. First thing this morning, a piece of worktop left over from the kitchen reno was collected. Around lunchtime, I parted with my rainbow parasol to a lady who wanted to protect her wax candles and melts at a summer fayre in Northallerton tomorrow. I should not have purchased the parasol in the first place but hey-ho it has found another home.
I am off up to see Ben, Nikki and the kids tonight, as I haven't really seen them since they come back from Fuerteventura 3 weeks ago.
One of my neighbours came down to have a look at my very crazy paving this afternoon.
It is lethal at the moment, very wobbly, so, after his holidays he is going to come and take it up and then relay it which will be wonderful.
Now all I need is for Ben to sort out the bit of electrics and the joiner to give me a good price to finish the conversation then I can start entertaining haha.
