Crafty Crafter haha

Of course, I am going to agree with the minion on this one.

Mum asked me yesterday to make an appointment for a telephone consultation with her GP as she is sleeping all the time, anything up to 18 to 20 hours a day. So I was on the blower at 8 o'clock this morning, 35 minutes later the reception at the surgery picked up the phone. I explained what I wanted and was told that there were no appointments left for today. As I was teetering on the edge having waited 35 minutes I was a little sharp with the girl, who promptly went ansey on me, telling me not to shout, which for the record I wasn't (defo had my inside voice on) and that she would help me if I was prepared to listen. Cheeky young mare, I felt it prudent to apologise for not shouting, or run the risk of her ending the call, which she accepted. So long story short, she booked mother in for telephone consultation at 7.30 on Monday morning, which means that I will have to set the alarm (even though it is not a school day) to ring mother to make sure she is awake.

Now Leighton, since his infantile seizures as a baby he has had a slight delay in his reading and writing. This was not helped by the fact that he is probably now dyslexic. Today Sarah sent me a fantastic video clip from school with Leighton all dressed up for Halloween and reading a spell from a spellbook. The words were quite challenging and he only got lost off a bit in the middle over one word, but the rest of the poem was read with ease and fluency, I am so proud of him as is Sarah of course.

So this mornings agenda was to complete mothers Christmas shopping before she went down to visit my Auntie in London. We had decided yesterday to hit Boyes in the centre of the town and armed with a list off we went. Quiet sometime later we left Boyes and headed to Aldi and the Poundshop to complete our normal shopping. Halfway through the epic shop, we stopped off for a bit of lunch in Greggs. By the time I returned home I had been out of the house for 5 hours, but the mother unit has finished her Christmas shopping, now all I have to do is wrap it all!!!!!!! All the way around the shops mum was complaining that her feet were hurting. When I checked she had her shoes on the wrong feet - oh dear me - we did laugh.

After my activity this morning I have spent the afternoon relaxing and crafting and now have several tree ornaments made. I am not so sure about the lace, but I will decide if I'm going to keep them later.
