Cousin It - not an option

As the Americans would say my bangs (AKA my fringe) was getting ridiculously long and I wasn't going to make it to my next appointment before I would take a pair of scissors and do a DIY job on myself.

I have had this kamikaze approach to my fringe all my life with certain degrees of success haha.

The fact that I have a sizeable calf flick on the right-hand side of my fringe makes cutting it a challenge, too short and that side will jump up and look stupid, so it is best to let the professionals do it.

I always know when it is time for a cut as my fringe begins to part down the middle like a pair of curtains, something I really hate.

So this morning as I combed my hair I had four options.

1. Leave it parted like cheap curtains.

2. Cut it myself

3. Pop down to the hairdressers in the village for a free fringe cut.

4. Leave it and finish up looking like Cousin It from the Adams family.

It didn't take me long to decide which option to go for, so after I had dropped the boys off at school I headed into the village to my hairdressers. So bobbed hairstyle refreshed and all in order until my proper appointment on the 25th of October.

Mid-morning I will be taking the mother unit down to the Rugby Arena to have her booster Covid jab. I am hoping that I will be able to get her flu jab at the same time. If I can't she has already an appointment booked for the flu jab for the end of this month but was thinking two birds one stone scenario haha. Just returned from the Arena, mother has had her covid jab but there was no facility to give her her flu jab at the same time, never mind it was worth a try.

I bought a lovely ornament a couple of weeks ago NOT!!!! It was actually a new DVD player that I have specifically bought to play my exercise DVD on so that I can get into shape. So what is the problem with that you may ask? The short answer is nothing but I can't use my shiny new DVD player, it is not broken oh no, but its remote has somehow gone missing ( my money is on the grandchildren) so I can't access the menu etc. I have looked under chairs, down the chair crevices, in cupboards but nada, nothing. I will have to keep looking before I try to purchase a replacement remote. Well having spent most of this afternoon emptying cupboards, drawers, handbags etc in search of the wayward remote I have capitulated and have ordered one from AMAZON. It will arrive tomorrow so then I can get my exercise regime up and running haha. And sod's law will come into force when I find said remote probably in plain sight.
