On Wednesday Sarah and I went to have our nails suitably Gatsbyfied ahead of my party.
So full-on bling black and gold haha.
Another milestone this week was the completion of my dental adventure.
After four months I am now the proud owner of five new teeth, four implants and one crown plus the build-up and bonding of my upper and lower front teeth which had worn badly due to me nibbling all my food with the front teeth.
I have to say it is taking quite a bit of getting used to having a decent number of teeth back in play in my mouth.
Leighton my youngest grandson commented the other day that I was eating like a normal person now and not a rabbit. A bit of a backhanded compliment but I will take it haha.
Clean-up on aisle 3 continues at pace. Ben came around on Thursday to powerwash the gutters and walls along with the paths to remove the final vestiges of the detritus the roofers left behind. He only had time to clean half the front path but oh my days what a difference, unfortunately, it means that he will have to come back and finish the rest haha.
Whilst Ben was beautifying the front of the Jungalow I was doing a much-needed cleanup myself on my sidewalk. I think you can agree it looks so much better and I am ashamed to report that I have walked past the rubbish for nearly a year thinking to myself that I will have to get around to moving all that.
Friday was all go again in the baking department. This week I was making a football-themed cake for Robyn's 9th birthday on Saturday. As you can see her favourite footballer is Ronaldo haha. She is off go-karting for her birthday treat so I will be popping up to Aycliffe to deliver that cake before she leaves.
Sarah and Lee are in Gran Canaria for five days so I am commuting between the Jungalow and Sarah's house. At the moment I am spending my days in the Jungalow and my nights sleeping at Sarah's. So for the next few days, I am back on school runs haha. When she returns we will be doing the final push for the party, namely producing the table centres. She told me on Thursday night that it was 30 degrees to which I jokingly asked if she had removed her gloves and vest yet haha.
However tonight I have sub-contracted out the babysitting to Lee's brother and his partner so that I can travel up to Durham to Ushaw College to see an exhibition of wedding dresses through the ages and a fashion show with my u3a ladies. Pics of this event will be in next week's blog.
Finally this week it is only one week to go before my bit of a do. I am getting very excited now haha. Again you will have to wait for pictures of the event but I will post a few of my actual birthday on Thursday the 25th of April (because like royalty this year I am having two birthday celebrations haha).
In this week's teaser you are looking for a wrapped present (fairly easy this week)
