That was me to some extent this afternoon when I went to the garage to pick up my car.
They had had the car for 6 days with only one update phone call, so it was on my radar this morning to sort. I had planned to sit and do paperwork etc after I had taken the boys to school and before I had to go out to take the mother unit to the hospital, but the garage beat me to it. At around 8.30 they called to tell me that the car was ready and that as far as they were concerned, there was nothing wrong. Hence me feeling a little silly. The purring noise has been classified as normal, a noise that every Micra has which comes from the drive shaft. The other problems I reported were all checked over and the Micra now has a clean bill of health, but like everything else, I will reserve judgement until I have driven it around for a while.
This morning as I mentioned I was at the eye clinic with the mother unit and on our way out we called in at the x-ray department for her to have a chest x-ray.
At her exam yesterday with her GP they found a crackle on both her lungs, so we will wait to see the results. Usually, the trip to the hospital eye clinic can write off at least 3 hours but this morning we were out of the eye clinic chest xrayed and back in the car inside 1 and half hours, result.
The x-ray was to check to see if there was any fluid in the lungs and if her heart was enlarged.
So now she has a blood test to go then we wait for the GP to mull over the results to decide what is wrong with her. In the meantime, she is off down to her sister-in-law in Southend on the 13th for 3 weeks. So I guess if they don't get in touch before then it will have to wait until she is home.
We have just eaten some sea bass chips, peas and broad beans with a side serving of pickled beetroot. Very nice and we will be returning to mums for our weekly card game as soon as I have finished writing the blog haha.
