Cashing in birthday gifts .......

Oh, my days doesn't time fly and just like that our little ones are no longer little.

This is Leighton taken at PQA (Pauline Quirk Academy for Performing Arts)

after his successful stage show of Matilda, he performed at The Ark in Stockton.

He played multiple parts including one of the children and a Russian Maffia Boss to whom Matilda's dad had sold dodgy cars haha.

After the performance he announced that he was going to be an actor when he grew up and would be moving to America as in his opinion the film industry is so much better over there.

He has already got his eye on the drama department at Carmel when he goes up in September.

On Saturday Rita came to see me to hand over the sparkly party planning book, and to remember Dave who passed 6 years ago that day. I now have two sparkly books, lucky me. We had a great chat and now I have our accumulated years of planning to refer to if I need to.

I gave my little car a tattoo this week haha.

It's just a simple sticker which will probably peel off during the first heavy rains or Polish car wash.

But I really like it and I am at the moment very into the Bee motif.

I received many lovely gifts for my 70th Birthday and on Wednesday Sarah and I went to The Blackwell Grange Hotel on the outskirts of town to partake in afternoon tea.

The gift was purchased by my cousin Linda and her husband and her daughter Sophie and her husband. We had a great time and even sneaked in a cheeky glass of wine to finish off the meal.

We enjoyed three different types of sandwiches and scones and 3 different cakes each.

To be fair there were too many cakes so a doggy bag box was called for to escort the surplus cakes home.

On Friday I was on the babysitting trail again. This time, however, it was slightly different. The gig entailed a two-night sleepover at my house for one of my smallest babies. No not Robyn, but this little chap who came to stay whilst Ben, Nikki and the kids went to a music festival in Alnwick

Now I thought as there are many different varieties of apples I would give you a small guide as to the uses of some of our most popular apples.

This week's brain teaser - Can you find the missing letter E?
