Only a short blog today I am afraid, as my day has been taken up with events that have taken a lot of time, so very little else has happened haha.
Today I was up reasonably early because I was expecting the Celebrant and my Sister Sue around mid-morning.
I wanted to do a little research beforehand because Sue and I have asked a couple of mum's Grandchildren to read during the service.
At 10.30 Sue came and the celebrant, a nice lady called Havy arrived shortly after.
We had a lovely two and half hour chat about all things mother unit, warts and funny moments all.
Sue and I are confident that she will write a service which will honour mum and not gloss over her more colourful side, which should be quite amusing. We think everyone will identify with the sentiments and statements we have asked to be included, haha.
This afternoon I was at mum's making phone calls, going through her phone book and placing calls to friends the length and breadth of the country to tell them about mum passing. So I must have retold the events of last week about 5 or 6 times. Quiet tiring really.
We are still battling to get a death certificate from the coroner but hopefully, the funeral will go ahead next week as planned.
