Woke this morning feeling the effects of 2 glasses of wine and 2 1/2 bottles of Koppenberg cider.
A couple of slices of toast and a cuppa soon put that right, along with my morning medication haha.
I didn't have much time available this morning to mope about as it is my turn to provide Sunday Lunch this week. So it was up and dressed my bed made and then straight down to work.
So veg is done, chicken cooking, table set and we are good to go.
I have finally put away the Easter Olympic stuff which has been eyeing me guiltily from the corner of the craft room all week. But now it is back in its proper home until next year.
Mum gave me a large metal teacup and saucer plant pot which was in a bit of a poor state, but with some metal paint yesterday afternoon I soon had it looking good as new.
Last night I accompanied mum and George to the Masonic Ladies Dinner. It was a nice evening, better than sitting at home watching TV or babysitting haha. The meal was well worth going for and I had my drinks bought all evening. On the subject of eligible Masons haha, there were none, which is a shame but there you go. However, the mother unit didn't do too badly I have to say. Rita made a great suggestion which I will work on shortly. Don't get me wrong I am not looking for marriage haha but someone to share some downtime with.
I have to say it is rare for me to feel underdressed when I go out, but last night was defo one of those moments. I had known from past dances that Masonic affairs are usually well dressed. However, I took my lead from mum and George when I was deciding on my attire. Well, I went with dress trousers and a nice top. Thought I looked really nice until I walked into the Masonic Hall to be surrounded by sequined chiffon and every woman wearing long evening dresses. If I could have gone home and changed I would have I was the only lady in trousers. Even the men had full-on DJs so a bit of a fashion faux pas on my part.
