I think that the RSPB weekend may be a bit of a washout courtesy of Storm Malik.
The reason I have made this observation is that the winds have been so high over the last few days that I haven't seen a bird in the garden let alone been able to count them.
So my plan is to sit in my conservatory with a cup of coffee tomorrow morning for an hour. Hopefully, the wind will have died down and the birds will be out in force wanting something to eat if they have been sheltering over these past few days.
This morning I was up and out by 9 o'clock to pick Sarah up. We were off to the iNails bar to have our nails sorted. Sarah had lost all her nails after Christmas but mine are okay still. I am proud to say that mine are my own nails with an acrylic overlay. As these are pre the mother units party we had to go with a few glitzy makeovers. I chose chrome and Sarah had some nail art with jewels over on a black base.
I am contemplating going grey. Well naturally I am very grey but I have been having my hair dyed for many years now as soon as the grey badgers make an appearance. But I was wondering if I should try to go naturally grey over the next year. I think that it will take that length of time to complete the process, so I jokingly found a Halloween wig the other day in the dressing up box which was black and silver and tried it on to see if I would possibly suit the look. It is far from a good look but gave me an idea haha. I am hopeful if I decide to go that route that the colour will of course be more
natural and with a little growth on the length will look softer. However, I could just have blonde highlights put through. One thing I have decided is that my hair is too dark at the moment making me look very pasty.
Late this morning Ben rocked up with Dominic and Robyn in tow. He had come to complete my ever-growing list of to-do jobs. So he unscrewed the oak fire surround and repositioned it so that it was safe. Over the last 3 years that it has been in it has shrunk, not a very good thing but it now transpires that the guy who made it used green oak consequently over time it has slowly dried out and had become unsafe. Now however it is secured really well. Next, he sorted out my internet and WiFi and my new doorbell. He got around to pulling out the dishwasher but all seemed okay behind there, the awful smell having disappeared as quickly as it had come and finally, he secured the new kitchen utensils to the hob backsplash to cover the cowboy job I had done on them haha.
