Busy busy today

This happened to me this morning when they played Roy Orbison's In Dreams on the radio.

It was one of the songs that I had chosen to be played at Daves funeral and as such the lyrics said it all.

It is 9.45 and I have just got up - shock horror, not that I have just woken up but got up having caught up on a few TV programmes I had recorded.

So what was the reason for my sloth-like behaviour today - NO GRANDCHILDREN no school run haha.

Okay, I have now had breakfast and am girding my loins to breakout the exercise DVD. I am going to spend 30 mins of quality time with Rosemary Connelly haha.

As those of you who are familiar with Polam Hall School, it is a beautiful old building which has been added to over the years with a theatre modern amenities etc and will soon have a new sport, arts and science facility. Back in the day, it was a private girls school but now is a free school for boys and girls from reception to sixth form, advert over haha now read on.

Sarah, Lee and Harry are going to look around Polam Hall this morning with a view to sending Harry there for his secondary education. As I am a governor at that school I am slightly biased but it would be a good geographical plus if he did go there, as they live literally insight of the school, so we will see what she thinks later. So that said the knock-on effect was that I could linger in my bed for as long as I liked today.

Around lunchtime, today Sue and I went down to the old telephone exchange which has been turned into an NHS hub for our flu jabs. We will have to wait for another 4 weeks before we can get our Covid boosters.

I have a full-on day really, so the quiet start was just what I needed to set me up for the rest of the day. So, this afternoon I am going to do some weeding in the garden so that my gardener Ian can see the vision I have for the myriad of plants I have bought for the new border. At 3.30 I will be attending my first face to face governors meeting since the start of Covid at Hurworth Primary. At 7.30 I am off to Elmridge church to sit on the first steering committee for the upcoming J2B (Journey to Bethlehem) production which will be happening in the middle of December. So I guess by 9 o'clock I will be done in more ways than one haha.
