It has been a bit like that over the last week. I have had the duvet off and on as meme suggests all night for the last few days. Finally, I ditched the summer quilt and put a thin cotton sheet on instead. I have to say much much better.
I got up this morning thinking of all the jobs I had on my to-do list for today. By the time I had listed everything in my head I was exhausted and had to make an emergency cup of black coffee and retire to the bench in front of my dining room window to recover. Of course, I didn't waste the time, as I had my kindle for company haha.
However, the sun was very hot even at 9.00 this morning so I didn't stay long after my coffee was finished and besides I had finished the current story I am reading. I don't know if you are aware I only read Christmas themed stories, all year round so this one was called Christmas Wedding at the Castle, most defo a chick-lit but I like them.
So on to the jobs list. I finally got around to clearing up the side of the jungalow even weeding the crevices in the path with my special weeding tool Mr Amazon brought me the other day.
Next, I took the path lights from the front garden and placed them strategically among the plants and flowers of my new border in the back garden. I think you will agree they looked very fairy-like haha.
Now it was time to harvest the rest of the gooseberries, top and tail them and produce 3 pots of red gooseberry jam. I can't wait to taste it but at the moment it is too hot. but it looks and smells the business.
Next, I washed the kitchen floor, cleaned the bathroom and washed the outside furniture ahead of Sophie coming tonight to finally finalise her wedding arrangements for September. I then went for some petrol, as I have booked another slot at the tip for tomorrow, there is no stopping me now I know what I have to do.
