Brutal........

Last night my head was buzzing with things I had remembered I was going to do. I was supposed to get in touch with subject leads at the schools I am a governor for, that was put on the list for this morning, which I might add I have done already today. Quiet craftily putting the ball in their court so we will see what comes back.

I was going to strip the wallpaper off the chimney breast in the lounge, put it on the back burner and then realised as I was closing down the Jungalow last night that the paper was still firmly attached to said chimney breast. Again I will tackle that today. I am trying to get hold of a yellow sharps container for my Trulicity epi-pens but was told they couldn't get the one I wanted. I was supposed to get in touch with the surgery to find out what happens next, but yes, you guessed it, I forgot to do that also. I may actually wait until tomorrow to speak to my nurse about the sharps container. So a busy day accomplishing things I was supposed to do yesterday lies ahead of me haha.

I told you last night that I was attending a Reedsy live podcast called First Line Frenzy. You had to submit the first line or sentence of the story you are currently writing, which I did, and then the professional editor would critique your sentence, live on air and give advice. It was never going to be possible to get through the 2300 first sentences which were submitted, in the end only 28 lucky people got their sentences aired and critiqued. I have to say the American Editor, Rebecca Heyman, was brutal with some of the material which was submitted, and I was beginning to hope that mine would not be chosen for scrutiny in public haha. Nevertheless, it was a brilliant hour of my time and I actually came away from it thinking of ways that I could indeed improve my current work.

Now my morning to-do list, to be completed not necessarily in the order they are written, before 12 noon haha:-

  1. Rosemary Connelly exercises, drink 2 litres of water

  2. Strip wallpaper off chimney breast

  3. Make bed. Empty dishwasher and clean kitchen

  4. Put some washing on and empty the bins

  5. Provide breakfast for grandsons and take them to school

  6. Read emails and answer any queries arising

Phew, and I am done. Now I can sit down and enjoy my lunch, watching my favourite rubbish programme, Bargain Hunt, before launching into some crafting this afternoon. I will be taking the boys to basketball tonight, the mother unit to her sisters and then tea, which I think is pheasant curry, at Sarah's, before returning to pick mother up at 10 o'clock to take her home. Thursdays are always busy, busy for me in the evenings.
