This morning I woke around 8.45 and was deciding what I was going to do with my day when my mobile rang.
It was Val, a friend who lives in Abingdon near Oxford.
It is months since I last saw her or talked to her so we had a lot of catching up to do.
Actually one and a half hours of catching up haha.
It was only when a delivery man knocked at the door that we said our goodbyes. It was a quick run around after that as I had a few jobs out in the big world that I had to do and I was out of the door.
I went to see the mother unit and my sister Sue for coffee after I had dropped a parcel off at the post office. I had knitted my sister a new dishcloth last night so she was well pleased with that.
This afternoon I finished painting the party fence. It looks lovely. My 90-year-old neighbour Meg was in her garden bemoaning the state of her garden table, to her long-suffering husband, so I popped my head over the fence and as I had paint left from my fence and the brush still dirty I offered to go next door and paint her table. She was very thankful and made me coffee and a biscuit as a reward haha. Thus my brownie point count has had a good deposit this afternoon.
Now any of you out there in blog land have any knowledge of Fig Tree aliments? I have a beautiful fig tree in my front garden which has had lovely fleshy leaves on up until a couple of weeks ago then it started to go yellow. All the google sites I have read are saying it is stress or lack of water. If any of you have any different theories please get in touch.
