Bit of a medical start to this week's blog haha.
For the last 3 months, I have been experiencing nausea and dizziness (and no it is not my usual scatterbrain approach to life).
I can trace it back to being prescribed high blood pressure tablets for a funny blip in my normally perfect blood pressure readings.
I thought nothing of it and just put up with the boughs of the symptoms until Tuesday of this week when the dizziness went blastic and I found it hard to stand up or bend down. The worst part was getting up from my bed talk about a roller coaster.
Anyway, my fall the other week was high on my mind so I visited my doctor on Thursday morning. He told me that I had BPPV (Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) quite a mouthful but in reality one of the most common forms) he also told me to stop taking the high blood pressure medication immediately and stop driving for a few days. On doing some research on the blood pressure medication they can cause these symptoms particularly if you are taking them and your blood pressure is okay.
It's that time of year again folks haha.
So yet again I am reprising the role of the Virgin Mary (I will be getting typecast and will never get any other roles haha) in Elm Ridge's production of Journey 2 Bethlehem.
It is on from Friday the 15th until Sunday the 17th December from 4 until 8.
So, on Thursday lunchtime, I was called for a photo call at the church. I have to say it was cold and wet.
The baby Jesus got wet and I had a great time trying to hide my watch and Cadbury Purple vamp nails haha.
Next week I am doing a presentation at the beginning of our monthly meeting on the production to my U3A group. You can't beat a bit of free publicity.
Mind you the thought of sitting for 12 hours on a bale of straw isn't very appealing at the moment but hey ho that's show bizz.
To round off a particularly busy Thursday this week I headed off to Hobson and Holmes for the second round of hair treatments to go a more natural grey. One thing I have noticed is how long my hair actually is haha.
During Wednesday's U3A committee meeting, I was given my official badge.
So now I am officially the Meet and Greet and New Members representative haha.
I will also be doing new members joining booklet and packs with another new committee member called Jenny.
Only a couple of more days to go before my log burner is installed, I have to say I can't wait, I am so excited.
If all goes to plan and the estimated 2-day installation comes to fruition, I will have only 7 days to redecorate the chimney breast and dress it for Christmas before my first Christmas soiree happens on the 20th of December. Of course, log burner progress will be in next week's blog.
And finally this week I am relieved to report that Sarah is doing well after her operation on Tuesday to have a defective Para Thyroid removed. Although still in pain and very sore she is doing okay. The arrangement around the scare on her neck looks like a necklace at first glance as each end of the stitch line is tethered with a ceramic bead. Not sure the reason for this, maybe one of you can enlighten me.
This week's brain teaser
Can you find a penguin hiding amongst the pandas?
