Border skirmishes - Day 446

Lovely day again in Jungalow land. Sun shining brightly and very hot.

After getting up and putting on the washing I ventured out into the garden. At first, I was just going to sit and soak up a few rays, but I was soon dragging dead bluebells and forget-me-nots out of the borders.

This afternoon I have cut both front and back lawns and the place is starting to look lovely again. Still, a lot of work to do in the borders but I will get there. So as you can see from the before and after pictures, my garden is beginning to take shape. I still have a few of the borders to sort but I may just leave that to my gardener. Today I just fancied doing some pottering about.

Now for an update on Mr and Mrs Blackbird. Their residence in the rungs of my ladders in the garage must be fine as there are another 2 chicks today making a family of 6. I have been watching mum and dad blackbird crazily feeding the chicks all day.

Now I do like a good film but I also like to keep up with the children movies so I have something to talk to my grandchildren about, well that's my excuse and I am sticking to it. Tonight I have been watching the latest Disney animated movie called Raya and the last Dragon. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. The good storyline and animation are second to none.

So that has been my day, lots of fresh air and gardening.
