So now that the new shed is up, the process of cleaning out the garage has gotten underway in earnest.
But more of that later. First thing this morning, 7.30 to be precise, I arrived at the mother unit's bungalow to take her and George to the bus stand in the town centre. They were catching a coach to Cornwall for the week.
Mum had been up since 5 o'clock this morning and was still not ready when I arrived. So we finally arrived in the town centre with a lot of chivving along and insistence that we get a move on.
Their coach followed us up the street so we didn't have any leeway. They finally boarded the coach, and I waved them on their journey. At 6 o'clock tonight I rang mum and was told they had just gotten into the hotel, so it was a really long day for her.
When I returned after picking the boys up as I was passing their house, I began to fill my car with rubbish from the garage. By mid-morning, I had returned some things to mums house and stored them in her garage and I had made 2 tip runs, I was on a roll.
Sue and Jeff came at 1.30 to take me to my diabetic appointment at the eye clinic. I asked them because I would not be able to drive as part of the examination meant that I had drops in my eyes to dilate them, which has the effect of making everything fuzzy.
Later this afternoon I decided that I would make a back for the log store. So I set to work having drawn around the log store I then cut it out of a large piece of plywood, using a hand saw, next I nailed it down and hey-presto jobs a good one.
Mind you now I am aching all over, and my watch has been congratulating me on the fact that I have had 8 hours of activity and racked up 9,500 steps haha. Tomorrow will see the last push and the garage will be cleared and ready for the next phase of the conversion.
