Bits and pieces

Had a bitty day today.

You know the type of day when you do bits of this and bits of that and don't actually do much in total.

I received a phone call from the mother unit at 8.30 this morning, she had cocked her TV up yet again and was asking me to go round and fix it.

As I was on the school run I told her I would be there at 9 o'clock. When I arrived the front door was unlocked, which for mum is normal, but she was in the shower so not very safe.

I sorted out her TV, she presses the buttons on the remote so hard that they get stuck under the frame so rendering the remote useless. A little bit of fishing about to release said buttons and service was restored. I was rewarded with a bacon sandwich and a cuppa, very nice.

I took delivery of a set of unfinished door wedges yesterday. So today I have been designing the figures which will be painted on before varnishing.

I have drawn so far, Freddie Mercury, Harry Potter superman, a lady in a saree, and an astronaut. Tomorrow when I get a minute I will start to paint them. When they are done I will be varnishing them.

A couple of weeks ago I purchased a set of special tomato growing pots from Thompson Morgan. They have built-in frames and a water reservoir at the bottom which you keep topped up and the plants feed themselves. So this afternoon I put the pots together and filled them with potting compost, then planted the four tomatoes plants.

I also planted some jade plant cuttings I had and some unusual clematis seeds. In a set of pots, I planted a range of seeds including pumpkins, swan gourds, foxgloves, red hot pokers and something else which will be a surprise lol.

They are now living and hopefully growing in my conservatory.
