Woke up this morning in a strange bed. Didn't get lucky if that is your thinking unfortunately but I stayed down at Sarah's last night and slept in Harry's bed haha.
It was just as well as I had quite a lot to drink at the neighbours Halloween party last night and couldn't have driven home even if I had wanted to. Seem to remember Sarah and me sharing a whole bottle of gin between us oopppss.
So was woken this morning with Dave the Labrador whining and barking, he was desperate for a wee and made short shrift of letting the household know. As I was nearly ready I was about to make my way downstairs when a ghostly apparition came down from the upper floor. It was Sarah looking very pale and sleepy, she had heard the dog also, she had been carried home last night having also drunk way too much.
The evening was low key which I was thankful for, was really apprehensive about going into a space with lots of people. Well, that was not the case with only the neighbours, Sarah's family and me and the neighbour's parents and a few invited children. So a nice buffet and a selection of children games later and then the big guns were brought out. Yes folks I have survived 67 years without knowledge or participation of Beer Pong. All that changed last night haha.
Beer Pong for the uninitiated involves a series of 10 beakers set out in a triangle shape and each beaker has a different drink shot in them, could be milk gin whiskey beer water whatever is to hand and all are different. The aim of the game is to bounce a ping pong ball towards them and if you land it in the beaker the person on the opposing team has to drink the contents.
As it is Halloween night for real today I will be on stand by with my bucket of sweets in case the next-door neighbours children come knocking. Thankfully it is not my turn to host Sunday lunch today and I will be off down to the mother units to pick her up to take her to Sue and Jeffs.
Tomorrow will see another front door wreath change the last one before the Christmas Wreaths come out.
