Bargin of the week

So this morning I was up and at it at a reasonably early time.

As it is New Year's Eve tomorrow I didn't particularly want to be taking the mother unit around the supermarkets.

So we headed off this morning, as it happened the supermarkets were relatively quiet so it was not too bad at all.

Now, every time we go to Aldi, mum always makes a beeline for the plants which are on display outside the store. Mostly they are very poor dead specimens as the staff don't tend to look after them.

So this morning was no exception. thankfully there were not a lot of plants available.

However, there were three potted and rooted Nordman Fir Christmas Trees. They had been £18.99 at Christmas and I was interested to see if they had reduced them.

We asked a really nice man called Keith to get us a price. When he came back I could not believe what he was saying.

After he assured me that that was the price I loaded all three trees into the barrow. So what was the fantastic reduction we paid, well, from £18.99 down to 19p. Yes, three Nordman firs in great condition for the princely sum of 57p haha. Must be the bargain of the week. So mum took one for her garden and my sister Sue took one for her garden and the third one will be planted in my garden when my gardener starts work again in the spring.

Also, this morning when I was out early doors with Sarah we called in the iNails shop to vamoose our Christmas Nails. Sarah went fluorescent hot pink with a little glitter and I went multi-coloured purple sparkle.

Yesterday I told you that I was taking the mother unit and sister Sue up to look at Ben and Nikki's new house. I have not taken many pictures but safe to say that mum and Sue really liked their new house.

They are having a little impromptu New Years Eve get together on Friday. This year I am in great demand as I have been invited up to Ben and Nikki's and also down to Sarah and Lees. So I have decided that I can't let either down, so I will travel up to Aycliffe around 4 o'clock for a couple of hours to be with Ben, Nikki and the kids. Then later I will travel back down to Darlington to be at Sarah and Lees party. There I will be able to park up my car and have a drink as I am staying down there overnight.
