Back on track - HOPEFULLY!!!

It certainly was a hot one today.

I had no intention of going outside this morning, I was going to sort out the craft room, but when I did I got slightly carried away haha.

First I decided that the Goats Beard was now looking very ugly, in just two short weeks it has gone from luxurious white feathers to brown scraggy fronds, so they had to go.

Next I decided that the Buddleia bush at my front gate had attacked enough people, so I gave it a bit of a hair cut. I took off the flower heads and stems that where growing over the paths and left the crown of flowers to keep flowering.

I managed to get a big vase of cut buddleia for my lounge and also another big bunch for my neighbour Meg. I went to deliver them and half an hour later, a cuppa and a piece of cake from Ringtons Tea I was back on track in the garden haha.

In the back garden I sorted out the archway that had taken on a distinctive tilt and threaded the honey suckle and brambles back over it. I did a few more bits of pruning and then noticed that the passion flowers had flowered in force, so I just have to share them with you they are stunning.

I told you that my captive odd job man was unable to finish my garden project and I was devasted, but today I have been in touch with the joiner who fitted my kitchen and he is coming around on Monday to have a look at the job, so my project may well be back on track yay fingers crossed.
