Arwen strikes again

Wow, it was cold today.

I got up and started my day with a shower and hair wash then full war paint before going out to the Copper Beech for my Sunday Lunch.

I had arranged to take both my children their partners and my grandchildren out for lunch, my treat.

So it was really nice to all be together again for a meal.

After the meal, Ben took Harry and Dominic to basketball practice, I took Leighton and Robyn to my house, Sarah took Lee home and then went food shopping and Nikki got the short straw as she had to go to work.

When I returned home this afternoon I made good use of the bag of cooking apples which my neighbour had given me as I made a batch of Apple and Ginger jam. Tomorrow I am going to be making Apple Chutney with the rest of the apples.

I am still in the dark, and whilst Ben was here today he did a few more checks of my lighting system but to no avail, so |I will have to wait until Wednesday as planned.

Also this afternoon I asked Ben to bring my Christmas tree down from its storage cupboard in the Princess Tower. I have spent this afternoon putting up the tree and will endeavour to dress it tomorrow.

Normally I would have got straight on it but it is difficult finding what I need in the dark and I need both hands to search through my extensive Christmas stuff and holding a torch just doesn't make that easy.

Since Storm Arwen, my obsessive viewing of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here has been put on hold. The castle has been evacuated of the celebrities and all equipment has been removed. Maybe it will be the end of this season before it even gets started. Covid bubbles etc, as that was the reason they wouldn't let Richard Madley back in. So if the cast has been compromised then by rights it will have to be cancelled. I hope not I love watching it.
