And breathe the cavalry has arrived...

Just before lunch today I picked up Sue and Jeff from the railway station. To say it was a relief to have her back is an understatement.

We can now both march on together and get the mother unit sorted and on her way in style.

First on the agenda is the celebrant whom we are meeting at the Jungalow tomorrow morning at 10.30. During mams time in hospital Ben kept every one in the loop with a whatsapp group, so I used the same group to ask the grandchildren, cousins, aunties etc for their thoughts and memories of mam.

They did us proud and I have collated their responses for the celebrant tomorrow. I am not saying everyone's contributions will be used but she will have plenty to choose from.

So as a welcome home I am making Sue and Jeff their teas. On request from Jeff we will be having Cottage Pie and vegetables.

The Cottage pie worked out really well and got some lovely compliments from Sue and Jeff, so much so that Sue took the overflow pie away with her haha.

A good while ago now I was introduced to a Spanish red wine called The Guv'nor. It is a really nice smooth red wine, but can only be bought from Majestic Wines I think.

Now when I was in collecting my half crate this afternoon, I noticed that they also carry the white version and the Rose version, so it would be very remiss of me if I didnt buy a couple of bottles to compare now wouldnt it.

So they have been stuffed in my wine chiller under the island and I will maybe have a glass a little later on.

They also do a sparkling rose and I thought that would be nice for Christmas Lunch this year.
